This is the fun part. We are almost ready to start looking for your new home but 1st, we need to narrow down your search criteria. The last thing we want to do is waste time looking at homes that you are not interested in because it may cause you to lose out on one you really like.
Here are some criteria to consider:
Square Footage
School district
Proximaty to work
Area amenities (ie. pools, parks, daycare, etc.)
# of stories
Tub & Shower or just tub
Age of Home
HOA or no HOA
New home or resale
I recommend that you tour the neighborhoods that you are interested in. Get a feel for the area and the people that live there. Talk to the current owners who may be out walking around and ask them what their likes and dislikes are. Your goal is to weed out the neighborhoods that you are not interested in and narrow down the search criteria as much as possible.
Once you have a pretty good idea of what you want in your home and where you would like to live., go ahead and fill out the property profile. This is the criteria I will use to begin sending you homes. If you notice that you forgot to add something or want to make a change just let me know and I will adjust the search criteria.
Okay, so you have picked out the main things that you want in your home. From here, you will begin to receive automated emails from me containing properties that match your criteria. These emails are sent to you automatically every time a new home comes on the market, or when a home goes under contract. This will assure that you will be one of the first people to know when a home that you are interested in has been placed on the market.
As your receive emails with homes you would like to view, begin to compile a list.
Now it is time to go look at homes!! Email me the list of addresses you have complied and call me at (512) 788-7960 to set an appointment.
The next article in this series is writing an offer.
